Dr. Mavani received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a Minor in Psychology from Rutgers University, a Masters of Science Degree in Biomedical Sciences at UMNDJ, and a Doctor of Medicine from St. George's University School of Medicine.
He completed his Internal Medicine Internship at Barnabas Health Center and his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at SUNY Upstate Medical Center and Morristown Memorial Hospital. Dr. Mavani continued his education with an Abdominal Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Abdominal Imaging.
Before attending medical school, Dr. Mavani was in the US Army Reserves for nine years and reached the Rank of E-5 Sergeant. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service in a combat zone.
